May 14

The SAN Script – Thursday, May 14

The bread in your cupboard belongs to the hungry; the coat hanging unused in your closet belongs to those who need it; the shoes rotting in your closet to the one who has no shoes. The money which you hoard up belongs to the poor.

Basil of Caesarea

prayer of the day

More often than not, Lord, we are afraid of truth. It threatens our identities we have created for ourselves and the ways we are comfortable perceiving others. Give us ears to hear your truth as blessing and mouths to celebrate your truth as gift. Amen.

Summary of responses:

I have a Voice comes out on top so we will go with this starting next week

Because I am a believer, I will live my life like Jesus.

I HAVE A VOICE!
  • I speak, write and listen as Jesus would want me to
  • I care about others and speak up for them
  • I am honest
  • I think carefully before I react or speak
  • I respect all people and their languages
  • I listen to the Word of God

As for PD – there is no clear consensus, however we will be working on all of these next year as we continue to work on digital integration – this should be the focus of our SIP which we will start working on this morning.

As an alternative, I am suggesting we bring Jeff Ross in to do a variety of activities with us that can include 3D printing, basic programming, littlebit kits and raspberry pis.  I have asked him to put together a series of interactive activities for all of you.  The basic objective of the day will be to give you some exposure to the work our kids did on the Maker Faire day and in the makerspace.  The day is tentatively planned for June 8th and I will come to see you to find out if you prefer morning or afternoon then we will book supply teachers for you.

Any suggestions or comments please let me know.

Paul
