  • Reminders for parents:
  • Safety of the students is our #1 priority. We practice fire drills and lockdowns throughout the year. The rules below are all put in place to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
  • School starts at 830: why you need to arrive before then and what consequences when you are chronically late. School ends at 3pm: no supervision provided after that. If you are going to be late picking up..please call the office. Occasional dismissal changes are fine BUT we need a note to the teacher and a phone call to the office.
  • When your child is ill-don’t send them to school And call the school, it’s ok to leave a message. If they don’t call they will get an automated call home and email.
  • For late parents: go to the office…why parents cannot take their kids to the classroom. Why Kinder parents are not to be in the hallway downstairs assisting their children in the am.
  • It is very important to keep phone numbers/emergency contacts, medical issues/allergies, up to date…please review, make corrections and return verification sheet asap.
  • NO Scents, Peanuts or Nut Products-Anaphylaxis Policy and Asthma Policy
  • We should put our school phone number on the website business card and hand those out to as many parents as we can…direct them to the school handbook online.
  • format for morning – completing forms – focus on Routine Disclosure Form – will show brief video to illustrate the importance of getting permission for disclosure of photographs – see Krista to get this form.

How to Enable Text Notifications for Your Google Calendar Events

Google Calendar is a fantastic tool for organizing your schedule and distributing event information to students, parents, and colleagues. Text message alerts is one of the features of Google Calendar that can help you keep track of appointments throughout the school year.

You can set-up text message alerts for multiple Google Calendars and multiple Google Accounts. For example, I can create alerts for the Google Calendars connected to my Gmail address and alerts for the calendars connected to my @freetech4teachers.com account.  Follow the screenshots below to learn how to set-up text notifications for your Google Calendars.
